Reigniting their great love for our planet

Join a growing movement of teachers supporting young people to create positive environmental change

Be part of something that really matters

Now is the time to join a community of educators supporting young people to reconnect with nature and see themselves as agents of positive environmental change.

The Ambassadors Programme brings teachers and young people together for a year of shared learning, reflection and action — grounded in care for the planet and each other.

How you'll grow

Supported by our team, you'll hone your skills as a facilitator. You'll explore the themes of wellbeing, storytelling and nature connection with your young people – all while sparking their curiosity and empowering them to take meaningful action.

Training & Development

From individual support and group calls to dedicated training days with the community, over the year we'll grow your facilitation skills.

Facilitator Community

As part of our supportive facilitator community you'll have regular opportunities to connect, share learnings and reflect together on the journey.

1:1 Support & Feedback

Through informal visits with our dedicated team, we'll provide support and actionable feedback for your personal and professional development journey.

Funded Opportunity

This is a paid opportunity, your schools will have access to a pot of funding of up to £5k for a TLR and your training costs.

How your young people will grow

Our evidence shows that Ambassadors cultivate a deeper relationship with the natural world, learning that nature isn’t something separate from them, while growing their responsibility for the planet.

The programme supports wellbeing and self-care at a moment when young people can experience climate anxiety. Ambassadors build skills to feel more grounded, confident and able to support others.

Young people learn how storytelling can inspire action, and work on their own creative project that combines a personal passion with an environmental cause they care about.

Explore the programme

Currently running in 18 schools across London and the South East, we've tailored each element of the Ambassadors Programme to support young people to grow in confidence, curiosity and care – for themselves, each other and the planet.

Our impact

Bertha Earth is a youth-centred environmental organisation on a mission to grow a diverse network of young environmental leaders, storytellers and changemakers to reignite a great love for our planet.

As we've steadily grown the programme since 2021, we wanted to ensure we’re doing the best for the teachers and young people who take part. We take a rigorous approach to measuring impact and effectiveness – and we're proud of the robust evidence that underpins our programmes.

Across self-reported surveys, visits and qualitative feedback, we can see the evidence supports our Theory of Change, showing positive impacts on all students, in all types of school settings.
